Buster III

Buster (1) was my ggf (Great Grandfather) who had a great effect on my life. The reason I am introducing him to you at this time is to also introduce Buster II.

Buster l was one of the younger sons of a large family raised in northern Wisconsin. His father was a minister for a small church and their existence was considerably below the "poor as church mice" level. When he was about 5 or 6 years old his entire Christmas was a single present wrapped to temporarily hide a small (about an inch and a half) pewter owl - Buster lI. It was a handsome and proud looking bird and was undoubtedly a part of a salt and pepper set - as its head would unscrew and there were several small holes in the top of its head. And that was his entire Christmas.

Buster kept the owl until I was about the same age as he was when he received it to remind me of our humble background. Buster 1 and I have held Buster II for over 125 years and I plan, when the time is right, to pass it on to my ggs (Great Grandson) (see picture below- Sir Zachory) along with the story of its history.

Buster III is my invention. He is Buster 1's representative who is here to keep me on the right path and help me put this site together. You will see him frequently.
