Hi - My name is Charlie and the above Fan Chart is a display of my own Personal Roots. For this purpose, I am in the center, of course, and my preceding three generations are shown in the three arcs from the center outward - my parents. their parents (my grandparents) and their parents (my great-grandparents). These are my Roots and the Fan Chart is a perfect format for me to start "Exploring My Ties To The Past". Hopefully this experience will encourage you to also do some digging.

But first, I need to share a few "Facts of Life" about Roots - why Roots can be an important source of information that can lead to a better understanding of ourselves - who we are, and why we are.
